Our Story
DreamFun Zone was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a place where families could escape the ordinary and immerse themselves in extraordinary experiences. In 2018, a group of passionate entertainment industry veterans came together with a shared dream of building Sydney's most innovative amusement park. What started as sketches on napkins in a harbour-side café transformed into the spectacular reality you see today.
Our founders, drawing from decades of combined experience in theme park design, hospitality, and family entertainment, recognized a gap in the Australian market for a truly modern amusement park that blended cutting-edge technology with timeless fun. They envisioned a destination where thrilling attractions coexisted harmoniously with gentle rides, where teenagers and toddlers could both find their perfect adventure, and where parents could relive their own childhood memories while creating new ones with their children.
After three years of meticulous planning, design, and construction, DreamFun Zone opened its gates in March 2021. Despite launching during challenging global circumstances, our commitment to safety, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences quickly established us as a beloved Sydney institution. From our inaugural day when we welcomed 2,000 excited guests, to today where we host millions of visitors annually, every milestone has been achieved through our unwavering dedication to excellence.
Our journey has been marked by continuous evolution and expansion. In 2022, we introduced our VR Gaming Arena, pushing the boundaries of immersive entertainment. The following year saw the addition of our award-winning Splash Mountain water attraction, providing refreshing thrills during Australia's hot summers. In 2024, we launched our comprehensive sustainability initiative, installing thousands of solar panels and implementing eco-friendly practices throughout our operations, proving that world-class entertainment and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

Marcus Wellington
Chief Executive Officer
With over 25 years in the global entertainment industry, Marcus brings visionary leadership and strategic expertise. Previously serving as VP of Operations for major theme parks across Asia-Pacific, he joined DreamFun Zone in 2020 to lead our expansion and innovation initiatives. Marcus holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and is passionate about creating world-class family destinations that prioritize both thrills and safety.
Sophia Chen
Director of Operations
Sophia oversees all daily operations ensuring seamless park experiences for our guests. Her background in hospitality management and operational excellence spans 18 years, including leadership roles at premier Australian resorts. She champions our safety-first culture while driving efficiency and guest satisfaction. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Hospitality Management and is certified in Advanced Risk Management and Emergency Response.
Liam O'Brien
Creative Director
Liam transforms imaginative concepts into reality, leading our attraction design and guest experience innovation. With a background in theatrical production and themed entertainment design, he has conceptualized award-winning attractions for parks worldwide. His creative vision shapes everything from ride theming to special events. Liam graduated from Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art and previously worked with leading entertainment design firms in the United States.
Priya Sharma
Head of Safety & Compliance
Priya leads our comprehensive safety program, ensuring every attraction meets or exceeds international standards. Her 20-year career in safety engineering and risk management includes consulting for major infrastructure projects and entertainment venues. She implements cutting-edge monitoring systems and training protocols that keep our guests and staff secure. Priya holds a Master's in Safety Engineering and multiple industry certifications in amusement park safety.
